Deoghar, April 22: Tensions rose on Friday morning after a piece of forbidden meat was discovered laying on the street of Jaggadih hamlet, which is part of the Karon police station area.

The local authority raced to the village shortly after receiving the word. The team included the Madhupur SDPO Vinod Ravani, Karon Block Development Officer Kuldeep Kumar, local police station incharge Chandan Kumar Dubey, Madhupur police station incharge Ramdayal Munda and other officers.

A meeting with significant members of local society and members of the peacekeeping committee was organised by the local administration team to discuss the situation.

As a result, the crisis was kept in check. The meeting went off without a hitch, and it was realised that some unsocial elements were at work distorting the fabric of local society’s religious peace.

Meanwhile, police officers have been stationed in the area as a preventive measure. However, until the writing of this report, no wrongdoing was reported.
