New Delhi, April 10: The State Investigation Agency (SIA) of Jammu and Kashmir conducted searches at numerous sites in the national capital on Sunday in connection with a terror funding investigation.
The SIA, which was recently established with a purpose to investigate cases involving terrorism and secessionism, is said to have conducted searches at these places after receiving a tip about Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) and other terrorist organisations followers. The SIA operations were carried out in response to corroborative intelligence on the movement of OGWs in the nation’s capital.
SIA raids in South and Central Kashmir in February this year resulted in the arrest of ten JeM OGWs. The members of the module were divided into sub-modules in the form of verticals so that the larger network would not be jeopardised if one member was detected.
