New Delhi, May 10: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann warned on Tuesday, hours after an explosion was reported at the Punjab Police Intelligence Headquarters in Mohali, that ‘whoever tried to ruin the atmosphere of our Punjab will not be spared.’ The blast is being investigated by police, according to Mann.
“Police is investigating the blast in Mohali. Whoever tried to spoil the atmosphere of our Punjab will not be spared,” the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader said in a tweet.
He has also summoned a meeting with Punjab DGP Viresh Kumar Bhawra and other high officials at his residence.
Meanwhile, in response to Mann’s tweet, Arvind Kejriwal, the Delhi Chief Minister and the AAP’s leader, warned that the Punjab administration will not grant the wishes of individuals who wish to disrupt the province’s calm.
“Peace will be maintained under all circumstances with the cooperation of all the people of Punjab and the culprits will be punished severely,” he tweeted.
Notably, a rocket-propelled grenade damaged windowpanes on one of the levels of the Punjab Police Intelligence Wing headquarters in Mohali on Monday night. At around 7.45 p.m., an explosion occurred at the office in Mohali’s sector 77. The explosion, on the other hand, caused no injuries.
