Three killed, three injured due to lightning strikes in UP’s Mainpuri

Maniipuri, July 9: In separate lightning-related events in the Mainpuri district of Uttar Pradesh, three people including a woman were killed and three others suffered injuries, officials stated on Sunday.

According to officials, the lightning strikes happened on Saturday.

“Three persons including a woman were killed, and three others were injured in the incidents. The injured are undergoing treatment,” Ramji Mishra, Additional District Magistrate, Mainpuri said.

He further stated that each of the deceased’s kin would receive an ex-gratia sum of Rs. 4 lacks.
