New Delhi, Feb 20: According to authorities, a steam boiler at a prawn farm exploded in Sirkazhi in Tamil Nadu’s Mayiladuthurai district on Sunday, killing two Jharkhand labourers and injuring two others.
According to authorities, the tragedy occurred about 12 p.m. on Sunday at a private prawn farm in Thoduvai hamlet near Sirkazhi.
The victims were identified as Arun Oraon (25) and Baljeet Oraon (21), who were both slain on the spot.
Raghupathy (50) and Maridoss (45), both from Thirumullaivasal village, suffered critical injuries and were taken to Sirkazhi Government Hospital, according to the police.
Sirkazhi police have registered a case and further investigation is underway.
