Trains’ movement to remain suspended on Dhanbad- Gomoh line tomorrow

Dhanbad, Feb 12:  East Central Railway (ECR) Hajipur zone has suspended trains movement tomorrow (February 13) between Dhanbad- Gomoh line of Dhanbad rail division for construction of the underpass.

A senior official of the Dhanbad rail division said that since the underpass has to be completed between Nichitpur and Tetulmari station of Dhanbad – Gomoh rail section, train traffic will be blocked for nine hours tomorrow (8.30 am to 5.30 p.m.).

Following the blockade of the track, six passenger trains have been cancelled. They are:

 

  • Asansol- Gaya -Memu Up 03545
  • Gaya- Asansol -Memu Down 03546
  • Asansol- Barans Up 03553
  • Varanasi- Asansol Down 03554,
  • Burdwan- Hatia Memu Up 03503
  • Hatia- Burdwan Memu 03504.

The official said that up and down three long route trains of Howrah which cross through Gomoh – Dhanbad section would be diverted through Dhanbad – Chandrapura line.

  • Howrah- New Delhi 12381 Up would be diverted through Dhanbad- Chandrapura line from Dhanbad and would not go through Gomoh railway station.
  • Jammutawi – Howrah express down 13152 which started on February 11 from Jammu would come from Dhanbad- Chandrapura line to Dhanbad.
  • Lalkuan- Howrah express 12354 down has also been diverted through Dhanbad- Chandrapura line for Howrah.

 

 

Earlier, ECR Hajipur had cancelled trains movement on February 10 also at the last moment. Long route trains were also diverted through the mainline (Patna) and Dhanbad passengers had to cancel their tickets.

 

But this time, the railway has diverted it through Chandrapura – Dhanbad line.

 

“The work would be completed in two phases (February 13 and February 27). So, these passenger trains would be cancelled on that day also,” said the official.
