New Delhi, May 29: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday congratulated President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey on his re-election and expressed optimism for the future of bilateral ties between the two nations on international concerns.

Due to his victory in the election, Erdogan will now lead Turkey for a third decade as the nation struggles with rising inflation and the effects of an earthquake that wrecked entire cities.

Modi tweeted, “Congratulations @RTErdogan on re-election as the President of Türkiye! I am confident that our bilateral ties and cooperation on global issues will continue to grow in the coming times.”
