Chatra, July 31: Two brothers killing their sister has shocked everyone in the district with police taking the duo in custody and interrogating them as well as collecting evidence too. The incident took place in Bhondal village of the Huntergunj block. The girl identified as Lalti Kumari was murdered on Friday but the information came late to the police, that too on Sunday evening.
Police officials said one Veeru Bhuiyan approached them with a complaint against his two sons namely Vikas Bhuiyan and Batohi Bhuiyan for killing his teenage daughter Lalti. He said he had a fight with his sons and daughters-in-law on some issues and Lalti had supported him. This angered the two brothers who strangulated her the same day and performed the last rites in a local crematorium in a hurry to avoid police action.
Mustering courage against his both sons, Veeru reached the Huntergunj police station narrating the entire story related to the killing of Lalti. The police came into action nabbing the duo and visiting the crematorium where the last rites were performed. Both the brothers are in the police station with their interrogation going on to know what actually happened as charges were levelled by their father Veeru.
Huntergunj officer-in-charge Sanoj Choudhary said a probe and interrogation are going on and soon they will come up with all the details of this case.
