Two die while triple riding on bike without helmet in Bokaro, one critical

Dhanbad , Jan 24: Two members of a family died while the third got seriously injured in a bike-truck collision  near Amlo check-post under Bermo police station, around 22 km away from Bokaro district headquarters on Monday morning.

The deceased were identified as Budhni Devi (55) wife of Indradev Ravi Das, her daughter’s son Ashok Kumar (13). Babulal Ravidas, son of Budhni Devi, was critically injured in the accident.

Bermo police station Inspector Sanesh Kumar Chouhan said that the incident occurred around 9.15 a.m. Triple bike riders, the residents of  Bandh village of Gomia block, were going to Pordag village of Nawadih block when the truck coming from the opposite side hit their  vehicle near Amlo check post.

Police and local people got them admitted immediately at Dhori regional hospital of Central Coalfield Limited (CCL) where doctors declared Budhni Devi and Ashok Kumar brought dead. Babulal Ravidas was later on referred to Bokaro sadar hospital in critical condition.

Bermo police station Inspector  Sanesh Kumar Chouhan said the truck has been seized and both the bodies were sent for post mortem.

Family members told media persons that Budhni Devi along with her son and grandson were going to meet her son in-law in Pordag village, who had been injured in an accident yesterday. An eye witness on the spot said that bike rider Babulal Ravidas was without a helmet.
