Jaipur, June 30: The chief minister of Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot will meet with Kanhaiya Lal’s family today. At 1:00 pm, a special plane carrying the chief minister is supposed to land in Udaipur. He will meet with the family members, according to sources.
Gehlot will be accompanied by the secretary of state for the home, Rajendra Yadav, the DGP, ML Lather, and other top officials. Notably, Kanhaiya Lal was brutally murdered in Udaipur on Tuesday.
Hindu organisations are organising a rally from Town Hall to the Collectorate at the same time to protest the horrific murder. Internet services are suspended in the area. Udaipur has a significant police presence to ensure law and order, while other senior officials and two more director generals are camped in the city to keep an eye on the situation.
