New Delhi, Feb 24: Ukraine has imposed martial law after Russia declared ‘military operation’ eary morning on Thursday, February 24.
Moments after Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the war, Ukraine Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that Ukraine will defend itself and will win.
In a televised address on Thursday, Vladimir Putin announced the invasion and said clashes between Russian and Ukrainian forces are “inevitable”. He even called on Ukrainian service members to “lay down their arms and go home”.
According to Putin, the special military action was “aimed at demilitarisation and denazification of Ukraine”. He also warned other countries that any attempt to interfere with the Russian action would lead to “consequences they have never seen.”
According to BNO News, missile are flying overhead in Kramatorsk in Ukraine. The airspace in the country ahs also been closed for civilian flights.
