UP polls: BSP gives tickets to six more candidates for second phase election

Lucknow, Jan 27: The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) unveiled its second list of candidates for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections on Thursday.

Six more candidates have been given tickets according to the list.

Dhampur Vidhan Sabha will be represented by Moolchandra Chauhan, Kundarki by Mohammad Rizwan, Nawabganj by Yusuf Khan, Faridpur South by Shalini Singh, Bareilly by Brahmanand Sharma, and Dadraul by Chandraketu Maurya.

On January 22, the BSP unveiled the initial list of 51 candidates for the 2018 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections’ second phase.

This is significant since Uttar Pradesh’s assembly elections will be held in seven phases beginning February 10. The second phase election will be on February 14, the third on February 20, the fourth on February 23, the fifth on February 27, the sixth on March 3, and the seventh and final phase on March 7.

The counting of votes for 403 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh, 117 in Punjab, 70 in Uttarakhand, 60 in Manipur and 40 in Goa will be done on March 10.
