Ranchi, Feb 28: In order to provide maximum information to our readers on every crucial issue of India, we have decided to publish the editorials of India’s leading and reputed Urdu newspapers on India’s most popular news portal Lagatar24.com. Readers can also know what the editors of Urdu newspapers are saying on the critical issue in India. In this issue, we have taken the matter of students in Ukraine from the editorials of Urdu newspapers. Let us know what has been said in the editorials of Urdu newspapers.
The Urdu daily ‘Urdu Times’, published from Mumbai, has tilted its editorial, ‘Shiksha Pranali par Lambi Chuppi’ (Long Silence on the Education System). The newspaper writes that what has happened so far in the matter of bringing back the students from Ukraine and what has been said on behalf of the government is another story of negligence and carelessness. Students who travel to Ukraine and other countries to study have been blamed for the government’s failure to bring back their own citizens. The students’ educational qualifications have been questioned and they have even been asked, “Did the government ask these students to go to Ukraine for education?’, to hide the failures of the government.”
One of the debates emerging from this crisis in Ukraine is the topic of the education system of our country. The question is why Indian students are moving to countries like Ukraine, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan for higher education. The newspaper writes that in fact the education in our country has become so expensive that it is now out of reach for the upper middle class. If we talk about India, then the cost of studying MBBS in these countries is less than half as compared to that in India. If anyone is guilty in this case, it is the education mafia of our country. It is difficult to find examples of looting in the name of higher education and especially in the medical field. At least, the education system should have the harshest punishment for bribery. The newspaper writes that the education mafia has made education so expensive to fill its coffers that education in Eastern Europe has started to become cheaper. This crisis shows that there is a need to set up more medical colleges in India. The government has kept the school system free for the children but the college and degree system for the youth after school is very expensive. They also have to go through a kind of depression. In the end, the newspaper writes that the government and the system have nothing to say against the education mafia but a long silence. If this silence is not broken even in the hour of this war between Russia and Ukraine, then this silence will deepen in the coming times.
The daily ‘Siyasat’ published from Hyderabad has started its editorial titled ‘Ukraine se Bharatiya Chhatra ka Nikalna’ (Exit of Indian Students from Ukraine).
The newspaper writes that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the war have people concerned for Indian students settled in Ukraine in India. Most of the students are getting medical education. Medical education in Ukraine is cheaper than in India. So students who are not in a position to pay higher fees in India, turn to Ukraine for this. This trend has been going on for many years and till now Indian students have been studying in Ukraine with utmost satisfaction. Amid tensions between Ukraine and Russia, fears were rising that Russia could attack Ukraine at any time. After these apprehensions, the students started getting restless as the Indian government had also advised the students to temporarily return to India from Ukraine.
However, during this difficult time, unfortunately the airfares for return to India were more than doubled. The Government of India should immediately use all available means to bring these students back to India. Efforts to end the war have not yet begun, nor can it be said how long the war will last. The return of students should be the first priority of the Government of India. For this, channels available in Ukraine can be contacted. Russia’s help can also be taken. These students should be brought back as soon as possible. Students need help before they lose their courage and hope.
