New Delhi, July 8: Nine Punjabi tourists drowned this morning after their vehicle sank into the Dhela river in Ramnagar, Uttarakhand, and was swept away by a strong stream.
The tourists, who were all Patiala locals, were returning to Punjab when the accident occurred at around 5:45 am.
Five people are still trapped in the car, they said, despite the fact that four bodies have been found.

Nazia, a 22-year-old lady, was found alive inside the car and was later identified. She has been sent to the hospital in Ramnagar.
According to the authorities, the 10 tourists were staying at a resort in Dhela.
