Jamshedpur, Oct 10: A semi-high-speed Vande Bharat Express train between Tatanagar and Varanasi will be introduced soon, declared a circular issued by South Eastern Railway today.
The Tata-Varanasi Vande Bharat Express is expected to become operational sometime in November or December this year, said railway authorities.
The route of the proposed Tata-Varanasi-Tata Vande Bharat Express will be via Purulia, Bokaro, Gomoh, Gaya, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Junction.
The distance from Tata to Varanasi is 574 km and the train will cover this distance in 7 hours and 50 minutes. The average speed of this train will be 73.3 km per hour.
The Vande Bharat Express from Tata to Varanasi will depart at 6 am. Arrival at Purulia at 7.18 am and departure at 7.20 am, arrival at Bokaro Steel City at 8.23 am ??and departure at 8.25 am, Gaya at 10.58 am and departure at 11.00.
Similarly, the return train will depart from Varanasi at 2.35 pm and arrive at Tatanagar railway station at 10 pm.
The train will run six days a week, said the railway circular.
