Ramgarh, July 8: The Federation of Automobile Association, Jharkhand Chapter, chairperson Govind P. Mewar today said that the sales of retail vehicles have increased by 12.85% to 45180 units in the month of June 2023, as compared to the sales of 40035 units in the month of June 2022.

At the national level, this increase is only 9.57%.

At the Jharkhand level, two-wheelers sold 36401 units in June’23, showing a growth of 11.49%, while in June’22 it was 32650 units. Three-wheelers registered sales of 2027 units in June’23, as against 1084 units in June’22 showing a huge growth of 86.99%.

“Discussing the commercial vehicles, we see that it registered sales of 1349 units in June’23, making an increase of 20.88%, while in June’22 it was only 1116 units,” he said.

Passenger Vehicles registered a sales growth of 6.01% in Jharkhand with 4377 units as against 4129 units in June’22.

Talking about the tractors’ sale, he said it has been able to register sales of only 1026 units in June’23, showing a decline of 2.84% as compared to 1056 units in June last year.

The above figures show that in June 2023, except tractors, all types of vehicles registered an encouraging increase in sales in Jharkhand as compared to June 2022. It is noteworthy that two-wheelers, three-wheelers, commercial vehicles, and passenger vehicles have performed better by selling more than the national growth rate, showing a positive trend.
