New Delhi, Nov 23: After Airtel now Vodafone Idea (Vi) has increased the tariff of its prepaid plans by 20 to 25%. The company gave this information in an exchange filing today. The new plans will be implemented from November 25.

With this hike from November 25, the Telco’s price of its entry level plan will be 25% more expensive at Rs99, while 11 other mobile phone plans and four data packages will be around or over 20% dearer, Vodafone Idea said in a statement on Tuesday.

The company has said that the new plan will improve the process of Average Revenue Per User (ARPU). This will help the company to overcome the financial crisis. Notably, Bharti Airtel has increased the prices of its prepaid plans by up to 25- 20 % on Monday. The last major tariff revision was in December 2019, when the three Telco’s, Airtel, Vodafone and Jio announced a tariff hike.
