Ranchi: The Jharkhand Muslim Rights Forum has expressed concerns over the Wakf Law Amendment Bill 2024, citing its potential harm to the rights of the Muslim community. On Tuesday, the forum submitted a memorandum to the state’s Health Minister, Dr. Irfan Ansari, urging the state government to intervene immediately. They also appealed to the central government to reconsider the proposed amendments.

Notable participants:
The memorandum was presented by National General Secretary Azam Ahmed, Executive Vice President Mohammed Murtaza Alam, Central Spokesperson Zubair Ahmed, and Central President Afsar Imam, among others.
