Jamshedpur, Oct 21:  For puja revellers this news would definitely bring cheers on their faces.

Weather across Jharkhand would not play spoilsport today on Maha Saptami, the second day of the five-day Durga Puga festival.

A weather bulletin issued by IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre suggested dry and clear weather.

Most places including Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Dhanbad, Bokaro, and Dhanbad woke up to bright sunshine with north-westerly wind dominating most of the state.

Some places especially in southern Jharkhand experienced winds blowing at around 15 Kmph.

A senior Met official in  Ranchi said no significant synoptic condition prevails over Jharkhand.

The low pressure area over the southwest and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal with the associated cyclonic circulation extending up to mid-tropospheric levels

persists.

It will likely intensify further into a depression over the West central Bay of Bengal around October 23.

Dry weather prevailed over the state during the past 24 hours.

The highest maximum temperature of 33.6°C was recorded at Jamshedpur while the lowest minimum temperature of 18.1°C was recorded at Ramgarh in the last 24 hours.
