Ranchi, May 27: IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre hinted at a Celsius surge in Jharkhand after the next 24 hours.
Weathermen predicted 2–4-degree Celsius rise in maximum temperature in most parts of Jharkhand from tomorrow.
“The mercury would witness a rise from tomorrow. Dry weather with loo is expected to prevail from tomorrow,” said a Met official.
He said some parts of Jharkhand are expected to experience thunderstorm and light rain today.
Satellite pictures suggested that a trough was running from north Bihar to north Odisha across Jharkhand and Gangetic West Bengal at 1.5 Km above mean sea level.
The east-west trough was running from south Haryana to Sikkim across south Uttar Pradesh and south Bihar at 0.9 Km above the mean sea level.
Light rainfall with thunderstorm occurred at several places during the past 24 hours.
Several places, including Hazaribag, Deoghar, Bokaro, Garhwa, Giridih, Latehar and Ramgarh experienced rain and thunderstorm during the past 24 hours.
