Hazaribag, May 15: The Sadar police got a big success in a case related to the theft of expensive two rolls of wire worth Rs 20 lakh by arresting the main accused Murari Lal from Muzzafarpur of Bihar. The team has also recovered the stolen wires and crane used in this theft. Police are now searching for other accused and also a truck used for the transportation of wires from Hazaribag to Muzzafarpur.
Sources said last week, a theft of wires had taken place near District Mor Chowk in Hazaribag. The Sadar police registered a case on the complaint of power officials. The case was taken as a big challenge by the police team led by Sadar Police Station officer-in-charge Ganesh Kumar Singh. The team scanned footage of all CCTV cameras installed around District Mor. Even cameras installed at Toll Plaza in Nagwa, 3 km away from District Mor were also checked. In this footage, police saw a truck carrying wires. After getting the registration number of the truck, police came into action and reached Muzzafarpur where Murari was arrested.
Police officials said as per planning, a crane was called and wires were loaded on a truck at District Mor Chowk. Police officials said the wire and crane were seized in Muzzafarpur.
