Dhanbad, Feb 14: Jharkhand Health Minister Banna Gupta today said that no one in the state would be allowed to break the law in the name of a language dispute in the state.
While talking with media persons at Dhanbad circuit house on Monday, the health minister said that the Congress believes in all religions principles and equally respects all languages. But no compromise would be made with the mother language. However, local languages must be given proper honor.
“The Government would neither allow any person to violate law and order in the name of language dispute nor let the person take law in hand. The state would run through a democratic system and would not tolerate sabotage in the name of protest. However, the sentiment of people of course would be respected,” commented the health minister when he was informed that due to ongoing regional languages dispute Dhanbad city was paralyzed second successive day today.
Senior Congress leader Gupta, who is also the party in charge of the Dhanbad district held the BJP-led central government responsible for disturbance in the country on the Hijab issue. “ In fact, the Hijab issue is a non-issue but the BJP government has made it an issue to divert the attention of people from its failure and broken promises,” said Gupta.
He said that the BJP has no answer about its promises of 2 crores jobs, the high price of LPG cylinder, price rise and others. So it is raising a new issue daily, he added.
Over the question of mob lynching of a youth in Hazaribagh last week, the minister said that whatever religion the victim belongs to mob lynching is not tolerable. The Congress party condemned it and action would be taken whoever is found involved in the Hazaribagh incident.
The health minister held former chief minister Raghubar Das, Dhanbad MP PN Singh responsible for MBBS seat reduction in Shahid Nirmal Mahto Medical College Hospital (SNMMCH) Dhanbad.
Earlier, the health minister arrived in Dhanbad in the morning to attend meetings of party leaders. He said as per the direction of the state party in-charge Avinash Pande, he held meetings and discussed with leaders. District president Brajendra Pratap Singh, former minister Mannan Mallick and others were also present.
