Yellow Alert Issued in Jharkhand for Rain, Thunderstorms, and Strong Winds

Ranchi: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Jharkhand, warning of rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds in the coming days. Rain is expected across the state on June 10 and 11, with a likelihood of lightning strikes and wind speeds reaching 40–50 km/h. Citizens are advised to stay in safe places and avoid sheltering under trees or poles during storms.

Weather Forecast Overview:

June 6: Light to moderate rainfall is expected across most districts, except Simdega, East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, and Seraikela-Kharsawan. Rain is also likely in the capital city Ranchi. June 7: Rain is predicted in around half of the state, especially eastern regions and Ranchi. June 9: Most of the state is expected to receive rain, except for Garhwa, Palamu, Chatra, and Latehar.

Highest: Daltonganj recorded 37.1°C

Lowest: Gumla registered 20.2°C

Ranchi: Maximum temperature stood at 32.1°C

The IMD has advised the public to remain alert during this weather period, especially in vulnerable regions. Safety precautions should be taken to avoid accidents or injuries due to lightning or falling objects in stormy conditions.
