Ayodhya: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a sharp attack on the Congress and Samajwadi Party during his visit to Ayodhya on Thursday, accusing them of having allowed namaz to be offered at the sacred Hanumangarhi temple and questioning whether such parties would ever have the courage to permit a Hanuman Chalisa recitation at a Jama Masjid.
Yogi Questions Who Allowed Namaz on Hanumangarhi Steps
The Chief Minister repeatedly asked who had permitted namaz to be offered on the steps of Hanumangarhi, hitting back at opposition allegations in the Ram Temple donation theft case. Yogi Adityanath claimed that while these parties had committed the sin of allowing namaz on the temple’s steps, his government had worked to re-establish Ayodhya’s identity as a cultural capital.
CM Accuses SP-Congress of Obstructing Ram Temple Construction
The Chief Minister said that the renaming of a night shelter in Ayodhya after Nishadraj Guha had upset the Samajwadi Party and Congress, alleging they were displeased at not having undertaken such work themselves in Nishadraj’s name. He further accused SP and Congress leaders of obstructing the construction of the Ram Temple, raising questions over Lord Ram’s identity, ordering firing on Ram devotees, and creating a crisis of identity in Ayodhya’s name. However, he said that under the double-engine BJP government, the grand Ram Temple was built without anyone being able to stop it.
