“Santosh Patil while committing suicide has clearly said in his last words that BJP minister KS Eshwarappa’s 40 per cent commission demand made him take such an extreme step,” the youth Congress alleged.
In the suicide case of contractor Santosh Patil, Karnataka minister KS Eshwarappa and his assistants Basavaraj and Ramesh have been charged. In connection with the case, a FIR has been lodged against the minister, and Eshwarappa has been summoned by Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
Notably, Eshwarappa and his associates have been charged with aiding and abetting suicide. The lawsuit was filed in Udipi after Patil’s brother Prashanth filed a complaint.
Eshwarappa, on the other hand, claimed he had never seen or met Santosh Patil, the contractor who committed suicide after accusing the minister of corruption. Santosh Patil, the contractor who had accused Karnataka minister KS Eshwarappa of corruption, was found dead at an Udupi lodge on Tuesday. Santosh Patil’s brother, Prashant Patil, has blamed Eshwarappa for his death.
