Jamshedpur, Aug 16: A 31-year-old youth identified as Amaresh Dutta had a fatal fall from his friend’s house at Hill View Colony under MGM thana area on Tuesday.

A resident of Macha village in Patamda block, Amaresh had sustained grievous head injuries due to the fall from the second floor and was admitted at the MGM medical college hospital for treatment.

Amaresh had come to the steel city from Patamda for some work and visited his friend, Deepak Kumar, at Hill View Colony near Mango on his way back home.

As it was already late in the night, Deepak asked the victim to stay at his house for the night. Amaresh had gone up to the second floor into an asbestos-roofed room for the night stay.

But at around 2 am Deepak’s father had come out of home and found Amaresh lying on the ground, with blood oozing out of his head. Soon Deepak and his family members rushed the victim to the medical college hospital where he succumbed to his injuries hours later.

The police have seized the body for postmortem and are trying to find out the reason behind the fatal fall.
