Ramgarh, Aug 18: The 115th camp of Mission Pink Health, a very ambitious project of the Indian Medical Association, was organised in Ramgarh on Friday. The programme had been launched in July 2018.
Today’s programme was organized at Omkar High School, Murramkala, Ramgarh. 150 adolescent girls and teachers were told about this mission. Dr Santwana Sharan and Dr Thakur Mrityunjay Singh gave detailed information about problems related to menstruation, anaemia, menstrual hygiene, good touch and bad touch, proper nutrition, migration of girls from Jharkhand and violence against women. Improvement in routine and proper nutrition were also presented. Dr Thakur Mrityunjay Singh discussed hand hygiene and other topics.
All the children were given iron tablets and sanitary pads, ORS sachet, soap, biscuits and Albendazole tablets. The entire team of the school cooperated in conducting the program.
The Principal and other teachers appreciated the event, they urged to re-implement this ambitious plan.
A first aid box was also given to the school. A haemoglobin test of all children was also done in which 12 children were found to have less than 12 grams of haemoglobin.
