CCL charts out road map to produce 135 MT coal in 2025-26

Ranchi, Feb. 8: Central Coalfields Limited, a Jharkhand-based subsidiary of Coal India Ltd, has started making road map for producing 135 Million Tonnes(MT) of coal production in fiscal 2025-26. However, the current financial year 2022-23, the coal production target is 76 MT and in the next financial year 2023-24 is 84 MT.

To sensitise and give momentum to meet present and future coal production, the Human Resource Department in association with Land and Revenue Department of CCL conducted  a workshop on “ Role of Land and  Revenue and Community Development executives for CCL contribution in 1 Billion Tonnes target of CIL” at CCL headquarters, Dabhanga House, Ranchi. Executives from mining areas as well headquarters participated in it.

P M Prasad, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Central Coalfields Ltd addressing the young executives pointed out that land is the raw material for future growth of the company and we need to educate villagers about the schemes related to employment etc against the land. He emphasized that company is committed to meet the growing energy requirement of the nation and all should work with the objective of the company.

R B Prasad, Director(Technical/operations), said that building trust, maintaining transparency and giving respect and honour to villagers are key  factors and each executive must work on it. He said that the coal will remain dominant energy player in coming years and we should work in the large interest of the country.

H N Mishra, Director (Personnel) said that only such company will grow in future which has support from the community. He advised executives to identify few areas in mining areas and start working in various projects to meet needs of the villagers. He also advised to build relations with local community.

B Sairam, Director Technical (Project & Planning) also talked about the importance of the community and need of coal to meet energy requirement of the nation.
