Daltonganj, Dec 23: Under the directive of Palamu Civil Surgeon Dr Anil Kumar, two ANMs and other health workers were sent to the Central jail of Daltonganj on Thursday. 330 inmates of the jail were vaccinated during this special vaccination drive, informed the district epidemiologist Dr Anup kr Singh.
Notably, lagatar24.com had carried a story yesterday (Wednesday, December 22) as to how inmates of this jail need to be vaccinated.
The Civil surgeon said that he took immediate note of it and asked the district epidemiologist Dr Anup Kr Singh to arrange a vaccination drive in the jail premise today which ended up with 330 vaccinations.
Around 1,200 inmates are lodged in the central jail Daltonganj currently. A large number of them stand fully vaccinated as per the district epidemiologist.
However, the undertrial inmates who keep going in and out of the jail make it difficult to keep a track of the vaccinated prisoners.
“Our health personnel have been advising the inmates of the jail to have all the doses no matter if they are in the jail or outside on bail,” said the CS.
