Ramgarh, Dec.23: The Vice Chancellor of Vinoba Bhave University Hazaribagh Mukul Narayan Dev along with Barkagaon MLA Amba Prasad met Chief Minister Hemant Soren during the winter session of the Jharkhand assembly.

The CM was informed that the current Vinoba Bhave University Hazaribagh campus is merely 67 acres. Due to numerous issues originating from a lack of required space, the campus, academic building, student hostel and sports ground are not being expanded.

At present, more than 4000 students are studying in various courses on the university campus.

The VC and MLA demanded the CM to provide at least 50 acres of land.

The CM was also requested to create a total of 109 vacancies of teachers in the postgraduate departments under Vinoba Bhave University.

The VC also pointed out that in the year 2016, the university was evaluated by the NAAC peer team in which the university was not allotted the ‘A’ grade due to non-creation of posts. Now, the University is to be evaluated for the second cycle this year, so it is very important to create posts in the departments.
