Dhanbad, Oct 10: The 33rd North East states Vidya Bharti Judo, Kurash championship began at Saraswati Vidyamandir Bhuli township on Monday. Dhanbad BJP MP Pashupati Nath Singh inaugurated the three-day championship where 500 participants from 22 states including Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharasthra, Gujarat, Bihar, Bengal, Jharkhand and others are participating.
The secretary of the host school Saraswati Vidyamandir Bhuli Prof SK L Das said that all the speakers of the inaugural function advised the students (participants of different states) to perform their best and maintain sportsman spirit at all costs.
Moreover, Vidya Bharti Khel Parishad secretary Kripa Shankar Sharma while addressing the participants said that real education is to bring out and hone the inner talent of pupils. The competition provides an opportunity for students to display their talent.
The three days championship is being organised by Akhil Bhartiya Siksha Sansthan. Sanjay Kumar Singh, general manager of Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) was the guest of honour on the occasion.
Besides Vidya Bharti Khel Parishad secretary Kripa Shankar Sharma, regional president Ram Avtar Narsariya ( Rajasthan), All India Vidya Bharti observe Raj Purohi and Durga Narayan also addressed the participants and called upon them to display their best sports skill.
Bhuli School principal Shiv Balak Prasad gave an introduction to guests while Vidya Bharti regional awareness chief Akhilesh Kumar conducted the inaugural function.
