Patna, Oct 10: The Bihar government has announced a one-day state mourning on Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav’s demise on Monday.
One-day (10th October) state mourning has been declared by the Bihar government on the death of former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and veteran politician Mulayam Singh Yadav.

Earlier in the day, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced that UP will mark three days of national mourning in honour of Mulayam Singh Yadav.
Meanwhile, RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav expressed his condolence on his demise.
“Netaji is no more among us. Mulayam Singh Yadav had an important contribution to taking forward the socialist movement. We had familiar relations with him. The news of his demise is very saddening for us. I pray to god that his soul rests in peace,” he said.

“I had gone to Medanta Hospital along with my father Lalu Prasad Yadav ji to meet Mulayam Singh Yadav. The news of his demise is extremely saddening for all of us. It is a great loss for the country. We have a familiar relationship with Netaji and his family,” said Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav.
Mulayam Singh Yadav, the founder of the Samajwadi Party and a former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, passed away early on Monday.
