36th National Games: Jharkhand’s Sarita Tirkey confirms medal in Lawn Bowls

Ranchi, Sept 30: Jharkhand’s Sarita Tirkey has confirmed a medal in the 36th National Games after she defeated Assam’s Nayan Sakia by 21/4 and entered the final of the women’s singles event. Notably, Nayan sakia was a gold medalist in the commonwealth games.

Jharkhand’s performance today in lawn bowls was mixed during the 36th National Games in Gujarat. In the women’s singles third-round match, Delhi beat Jharkhand 20/13, while in women’s four, Jharkhand beat Bihar 23/7.

In the men’s triple, Jharkhand beat Delhi by 19/8. In the semi-final, Sarita Tirkey defeated Nayan Saikia of Assam by 21/4. In the last league match in the men’s pair, Assam defeated Jharkhand by 19/10. 

Notably, Tomorrow’s match can give an idea of ??the medal status. Coach Madhukant Pathak was also present to encourage the players.
