New Delhi, Feb 13: An earthquake of magnitude 4.3 on the Richter scale hit Afghanistan’s Fayzabad on Monday morning. The epicentre of the earthquake was 100 km southeast of the northeastern city of Fayzabad.

As per the National Center for Seismology, the tremor hit the region around 6:47 am and its depth was 135 km. However, no reports of damage to lives or property have been received yet.
This is the second quake to have rocked the country within a month.
Earlier on January 22, an earthquake measuring 4.2 occurred at 79 km south-southeast of Fayzabad, Afghanistan at 9:04 am IST on Sunday, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS).
