Chatra, Aug.12: Police got success in the case of petrol pump loot in Huntergunj block on the night of Aug.3. Total of five robbers were arrested who are residents of Gaya district in Bihar.
Sources said the five robbers had committed this crime reaching Jia Fuel service station petrol station on night at 2 AM on Aug.3. They started beating employees there and snatched the mobile phone of one of them. Criminals had also taken away Rs.39610 from him. Hearing the shouting, local residents reached there, making criminals to escape. When the petrol pump employees tried to chase them, a SUV came there to help the five criminals escape from there.
With SP Rakesh Ranjan forming a team to crack this case, five robbers involved in the incident has been caught. The team formed under the leadership of Huntergunj police station in-charge Sanoj Kumar Chaudhary has achieved this success.
Sub divisional police officer Avinash Kumar said that on August 3, criminals had carried out the incident of loot. He confirmed the arrest and said the police team has also seized a mobile looted from a petrol pump worker besides two country made pistols, two live cartridges, five mobile phones of different companies and two bikes used in this loot case. He said all the robbers are residents of Imamgunj and Sohail Salaiya police station area under Gaya district of Bihar.
