Ranchi, Sept.15: The Home department has released a list of advocates who will present government sides in cases of criminal nature before the Jharkhand High Court.
As many as 60 advocates have been shortlisted. Among 60 advocates, one is public prosecutor (PP) while eight are special PP (SPP) and 49 are additional PP (APP). While there is no tribal among PP and SPP, there are five tribals among APPs which is considered the highest figure of tribals appointed as APP so far.
Pankaj Kumar has been appointed PP while the list of four SPPs for presenting the government cases in cases related to vigilance department include Nehla Sarmin, Pirya Shrestha, Vinit Kumar Vashisht and Vihwanath Rai.
Shailendra Kumar Tiwari has been appointed SPP (cyber crime) while Praveer Kumar Chatterjee has been appointed SPP (Bovine Act, MMDR Act, Forest Act). Ravi Prakash has been appointed SPP (NDPS Act and Crime Control Act) while P.D.Agrawal has been appointed SPP (Ed Act and Food Adulteration Act).
The list of 49 APPs include Vibhuti Shanker Sahay, Tapas Roy, Jitendra Pandey, Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, Vijay Kumar Sinha, Sanat Kumar Jha, Mahua Palit, Abhay Kumar Tiwari, Ajimuddin, Gautam Rakesh, Subodh Kumar Dubey, Shriprakash Jha, Sunil Kumar Dubeuy, Lily Sahay, Manoj Kumar Mishra, Shashi Kumar Verma, Vandana Bhartim Vishwambhar Shastri, Manoj Kumar Mishra, Achinto Sen, Shailesh Kumar Sinha, Sardhu Mahto, Ruby Pandey, Amrita Kumari, Saket Kumar, Sudhir Kumar Mahto, Naveen Kumar Singh, Santosh Kumar Shukla, Santosh Kumar Tiwari, Someshwar Roy, Rajnish Vardhan, Suraj Kumar Munda, Shiv Shanker Kumar, Arup Kumar Dey, Rakesh Ranjan, Naveen Kumar Ganjhu, Sweta Singh, Kumari Rashmi, Tarun Kumar, Pankaj Kumar Mishra, Satish Prasad, Bhola Nath Oja, Prafull Jojo, Sushma Aind, Rajendra Ram, Snehlika Bhagat, Anuradha Sahay, Anup Topno and Fahad Alam.
Tenure of advocates will be one year.
