7th – 10th JPSC Civil services: Mains examination begins tomorrow

Ranchi, Mar 10: The Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) is set to conduct the seventh to 10th JPSC Combined Civil Services Mains examination from March 11 to 13.

A total of 11 examination centres have been set up in the capital Ranchi for 252 posts. Notably, 4749 candidates will appear in these examination centres. Around 4885 candidates were declared passed when the revised result of Preliminary Examination (PT) was released; however, 4749 candidates filled the form of Mains Examination.

The examination will be held at various centres in the state and will be conducted in two shifts. According to the notification from the commission, the first shift will be held between 10 am and 1 pm and the second shift exam will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm.

The seventh to 10th civil services main examination will be held in two shifts. The first shift exam will be held from 10 am to 1 pm and the second shift will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm. On March 11, the examination of Paper 1 will be held in the first shift and Paper 2 in the second shift. On March 12, Paper 3 will be conducted in the first shift while paper 4 in the second shift. On March 13, Paper 5 will be held in the first shift and Paper 6 will be conducted in the second shift. It is mandatory for the candidates to appear in the examination of all the papers. Otherwise such candidates will not be included in the merit list of the main examination.

Notably, after the order of the High Court, JPSC had revised the PT exam results and released it, after which the dates for the mains exam have been announced again.

JPSC secretary Himanshu Mohan said, “Police force has been deputed along with magistrates at all centres by the district administration for malpractice-free examination.” In this regard, SDO Deepak Kumar Dubey said that prohibitory orders will remain in force around the examination centres from 7 am to 8 pm. All the preparations for the exam have been completed.

In view of the examination, the commission has issued guidelines for the candidates. Under this, it is mandatory for the candidates to bring two stamp size photographs and valid identity card for each attendance sheet.

Candidates are to fill the main page of the OMR based answer sheet after reading the instructions given in the admit card, attendance sheet and answer sheet carefully. It is strictly forbidden to bring mobile phones or any electronic gadgets, food items, textbooks, bags, weapons etc. to the examination center. One has to reach the examination centre 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination. At the same time, if an examinee comes 15 minutes after the commencement of the exam, they will not be allowed to write the exam.

DAV Kapildev School Kadru, Ursuline Convent Girls School Purulia Road, Saint Paul College, Saint Aloysius High School, Saint John High School, Saint Anna Girls High School, Saint Anna Inter College, Saint Xavier Inter College, Guru Nanak Higher Secondary School, Gossner College Center A and Gossner College Sub Center B have been chosen as examination centres for the same.
