8-yr-old boy kills 12-yr-old brother for mobile phone in Koderma village

VISHVENDU JAIPURIAR

Hazaribag, Oct 7: An 8-year-old boy stabbed his 12-year-old elder brother to death for a mobile phone on Thursday night. The incident took place in Rana Tola of Gaithibad village under the Domchach police station of Koderma district.

As per the information, both brothers started fighting for a mobile phone last night. Both wanted to use the phone at the same time and this resulted in a fight between the duo.

The younger brother, Tarun Kumar, brought a knife from the kitchen and suddenly stabbed his elder brother Karan Kumar in his stomach. As Karan started bleeding profusely, his parents rushed him to a nearby nursing home but he was declared brought dead by the doctors. To avoid any police action, the family buried the dead body.

Today in the morning, the police got information about the incident and Sub Divisional Police Officer Ashok Kumar reached the boys’ house and began a probe into the matter. Efforts on to exhume the dead body to send it for postmortem.

After the incident, the younger brother is missing. “We are forcing the relatives to bring him,” said a police officer.
