Top rating for RIMS Director Dr Kameshwar Prasad at 2022 Evidence-Based Clinical Practice Workshop in Canada

Ranchi, July 15: The Director of RIMS Ranchi, Dr Kameshwar Prasad, was one of the tutors during the Evidence-Based Clinical Practice Workshop held at McMaster University in Ontario, Canada from June 12 to 17.

During the Tutor’s performance feedback, the 9 participants in his group gave him the highest rating of 7 (1 means useless and 7 means great).

Dr Prasad said that during the workshop, a group of 8 medical professionals had to attend the workshop twice a day for 4 hours (2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the evening). The main learning of the workshop was ‘How to teach’ the medical students. The workshop lasted for a week and a total of 20 hours.

The workshop aimed at helping medical institutes around the world in developing their own curriculum at their institution with their new optional Post-Course focusing on Developing an EBHC Curriculum.

The workshop provided the full benefit of learning during the workshop week. During the EBCP Workshops, The participants dived into complex concepts of EBM and the tutors taught them how to improve their practice and teach concepts to others around them.

Some of the positive feedback which Dr Prasad received were “wealth of knowledge and great teaching techniques”, “He presented EBM concepts in a very understandable format”, “Extremely good at teaching” and “A master of simplifying difficult concepts.”

Dr Kameshwar Prasad graduated in medicine from RIMS, with the Best Medical Graduate of the year award and secured his MD and DM from the AIIMS, Delhi in 1983 and 1985. After he started his career by joining AIIMS, he also secured a master’s degree in Clinical Epidemiology and Health Research Methodology from McMaster University, Canada in 1993.
