Ranchi, Aug 17: The Jharkhand state health department has paved the way for the commissioning of 134 Primary Health Centers (PHCs) built over several years in the state.
After assessing the need-based posts, approval has been given to create 1990 new posts, keeping in mind the shortage of paramedical staff and non-medical staff, including doctors for PHCs. Further approval from the cabinet is awaited for the post creation.
The Administrative Posts Committee headed by the Chief Secretary has already given its consent and recommendation on the proposal of the Health Department through circulation. These 1990 posts include a total of 32 categories along with 114 posts of Medical Officers and 134 new posts of Clerks.
The reinstatement of doctors will be done by sending a requisition to the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC).
