Srinagar, Aug 25: Border Security Force (BSF) personnel in the Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir successfully thwarted an attempt at border smuggling and captured a Pakistani infiltrator with 8 kg of heroin on Thursday. The intruder was hurt when the security personnel shot at him.
The BSF soldiers observed the suspicious man crossing the border with just one bag. Alert BSF personnel opened fire on the interloper right away, wounding him.
A search uncovered eight packets of drugs on him, each weighing around 1 kilogramme. Although a lab test hasn’t been done yet, the drugs are probably heroin.
However, the hurt smuggler was able to escape and return to Pakistan, leaving a bloody trail in his wake.
