Ranchi, Aug 27: Ranchi police arrested a shooter on Saturday who was hired by a contractor to kill his rival. A pistol has been recovered from the shooter’s possession. He was identified as Saddam, a resident of Nagdi under Kanke police station.
The breakthrough came from Kokodoro, a village Pithoria police station area after police getting information from villagers swung into action and arrested the criminal before he could target his prey.
“Saddam has a criminal background. Earlier he was sent to jail several times in many criminal cases. Villagers noticed them when he was waving his firearm,” a police official said.
