Dumka, Aug 31: The three-member team of BJP MPs comprising of Nishikant Dubey, Manoj Tiwari and Kapil Mishra met the family of the burn victim Ankita Kumari who died after being set on fire by a youth in her neighbourhood on August 23 and termed the incident to be the outcome of a larger conspiracy than a regular crime.
The trio arrived from a charter plane which landed at Deoghar airport from where they reached Dumka as per their scheduled program as announced by Dubey two days ago.
“We did not need to come here had the state government been behaving sensitively in the case which otherwise is indulged in appeasement policy for a particular community,” Mishra said to reporters as they came out after meeting Ankita’s family members.
The leaders also informed the victim family about the collection of Rs 28 lakh which was generated through crowd funding, the campaign launched by Kapil Mishra and Nishikant Dubey.
“The entire country is pained about the brutal murder of sister Ankita except the Jharkhand government as none of its elected representatives bothered to stand by her family. Had the name of the victim been Nadeem instead of Ankita the ruling parties would have made a beeline to express their grief to the family,” Mishra said.
He added that over one thousand people from across the world contributed to the family in response to the crowd funding campaign he launched through the internet and that the amount so generated would be transferred to the bank account of victim’s father in the next couple of days.
Mishra also questioned the ruling dispensation for not arranging to airlift Ankita to a higher centre for treatment as in the case of Nadeem Ansari, a rioter who was airlifted for treatment of the bullet injuries he had received in police firing in Ranchi.
Godda MP Nishikant Dubey ridiculed the state government for what he said allocating a ‘meagre’ amount of Rs 10 lakh to the victim family.
“We will continue to stand by Ankita’s family untill her offender is subjected to severe punishment by the court,” Dubey said.
He added that the investigation should have been conducted considering the same to be an instance of Love Jihad being triggered by Bangladesh based Jihadi organisation that has turned a vast area of Santhal Pargana to be their breeding ground.
He further said that the demography of the region was alarmingly being changed by those Jihadi organisations by masterminding marriages of Muslim youths to which the ruling dispensation was turning a blind eye for political gains.
Manoj Tiwari said that his heart was filled with deep sorrow after listening to Ankita’s family members adding that it was not the murder of Ankita but the entire humanity.
“Dots must be connected to reach out to the large conspiracy involved in the incident which is very much alarming for the security of the country,” Tiwari added.
Meanwhile, forces were deployed in large numbers in and around Jaruadih Mohalla where the victim family resides with Deputy Commissioner Ravishankar Shukla and SP Ambar Lakda together witnessed camping outside till nearly forty-five minutes of the stay of the delegation.
