Ranchi, Sept 5: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren tabled a confidence motion in the Assembly on Monday, amid an uproar caused by the Opposition BJP. Earlier, he addressed the House and asked for a vote of confidence in the special one-day session, as doubt over his political future and the ruling coalition persisted.

The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) chief came to the House today along with a large number of MLAs belonging to the ruling coalition of the JMM, Congress and Rashtriya Janata Dal.
