Ramgarh, Oct 1: In order to provide a better catering facility to the passengers and to remove the shortcomings present therein, the catering units and stalls were inspected at various stations of East Central railway jurisdiction and a fine was also imposed for not selling according to the norms and selling unauthorized items.
A fine of Rs 1180 was imposed for selling tea and coffee at a price higher than the face value of Rail Neer and for the unauthorized sale of tea and coffee during an investigation at Amul stall located at platform number one of Patliputra station.
Similarly, due to the sale of Rail Neer and Amul Cool and unauthorized chips, biscuits and namkeen at Danapur station at Amul’s stall at a rate higher than the marked price, materials worth about Rs 5000 were destroyed and a fine of Rs 2360 was also imposed.
At Koderma station, due to the unauthorized sale of cold drinks, biscuits, and chips by vendors, goods worth Rs 20000 were confiscated and destroyed and a fine of Rs 59000 was imposed.
At Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay station, unauthorized material worth about Rs 50000 was seized and destroyed and a fine of Rs 23,360 was imposed due to the sale of cold drinks, chips, biscuits of non-approved and unauthorized brands at the Amul stall. This campaign of East Central Railway will continue even further.
