Ranchi, Oct.21: Former parliamentarian Furquan Ansari today talked about teamwork and honesty while participating in a final match of a three-day football tournament organized in Parvathapur under the Jamtara assembly constituency as chief guest.

“One can win a football match by passing balls to each other. In the same way in life, one can progress only by supporting each other. No one can progress in life by backbiting. One can move ahead in life with honesty. Only through hard work can one reach a high position,” Ansari said.

Ansari on the occasion missed no opportunity to mention the name of the local MLA and his son Irfan Ansari, whom the court has directed not to leave Kolkata after recovery of Rs 50 lakh cash from his possession during his travel to Kolkata with two other congress party legislators Naman Vixel Kongari and Rajesh Kachhap.

“Good times come only after bad times. The matter is going on in the court and they are following the orders of the court. Your MLA is reaching your midst soon. You guys be patient. As much as you are worried about your MLA, your MLA is worried about you people. They are constantly taking care of you people and solving your every problem,” Ansari said after those present during the match raised slogans in favour of MLA Irfan Ansari and asked the former MP to call him Jamtara soon.

Earlier, the chief guest was given a warm welcome. The former MP boosted the morale of the players throughout the match. The match went on for a long time, which was enjoyed by the former MP. Eventually, Ranidih’s team defeated Sukhjoda 2-1 to win the final match.
