RAJ KUMAR

Ranchi, Nov 5: Strike of revenue sub-inspectors entered 52nd day today creating hurdles in work verification of documents required for registration of land.

An advocate informed this saying if the situation continues for a long time; it will have a major impact in income through land registration.

State organising secretary of Jharkhand Rajaswa Upnirikshak Sangh Rajesh Kumar admitted the problem saying that his organisation realises the problem but it is difficult to end strike without fulfilment of 11-point charter of demands.

The demands, he said, include increasing grade pay to Rs 2,400 in accordance with the agreement taken place with the state government on October 10, 2019, recruitment of revenue circle inspector through promotion and limited competitive examination instead of direct appointment, implementation of revenue protection act, reconstitution of Halka unit, provision of two-wheelers and fuel, safety, immediate fulfilment of vacant posts of revenue sub inspectors, old pension scheme and laptop computer and net cost besides others.

Singh said he had attempted to sort out the matter on Friday but it could not materialise as government officials did not show his commitment to constitute a committee taking the officials of revenue, finance and personnel department to find a way to fulfil the justified demand.
