Arvind Kejriwal’s AAP may not have had much of an influence on Gujarat, but the group achieved national party status by garnering 12.9% of the vote and five seats.

As a result of its resounding victories in the assembly elections in Delhi and Punjab, AAP has now attained the required vote share and seat totals from the Election Commission to qualify as a national party.
