JHRA to organise Master Chef contest at Jamshedpur Carnival

Jamshedpur, Jan 7: Jamshedpur Hotel and Restaurant Association (JHRA) is all set to organise a Master Chef competition as a part of the Jamshedpur Carnival at Gopal Maidan on January 8. The ongoing Carnival being held at the Bistupur-based Gopal Maidan would witness a Master Chef contest on the concluding day tomorrow.

Housewives and students would be able to participate in the contest. An official of JHRA said the contest will emphasise that cooking is not a daily chore but is all about dedication, knowledge, patience and expertise. 

“Our city is known for serving quality food and the association wants to connect with people having a passion for cooking, ” he explained.

The various categories are Category ‘A’- Age 10 – 18 yrs, ‘The Little Chef’, Category ‘B’- 19 yrs and above Male/ Female ‘Master Chef’. 

Those interested can contact Smita Parikh, owner of Fortune Hotel Centrepoint (Mobile: 9334803900). A hotel owner said that the association wants to take the fest to the national level, where food from Jamshedpur can be promoted.
