Dhanbad, Jan 12: Former chief minister of Jharkhand and BJP legislative party leader Babulal Marandi today said that people feel unsafe as the law and order situation in the state has collapsed.
Marandi, who arrived here in the morning from Kolkata, while expressing concern over daily firing incidents occurring in Dhanbad said that fear of the police has completely faded away from the mind of criminals and they rule the roost in the region.
“Coal theft is a major issue in coal capital. it is being done in the patronage of the corridor of power Since the police are themselves involved in it”, alleged the former chief minister.

After addressing party workers at the circuit house, Babulal Marandi reached Dhanbad divisional jail and met Baghmara MLA Dulu Mahto and former Jharia MLA Sanjiv Singh. Dhulu Mahto is in jail since January 9 and Sanjiv Singh since April 2017.
“Having been prejudice state government is implicating BJP leaders and workers in false cases,” he alleged after coming out from jail.
Marandi also visited the house of famous industrialist Pradip Santhalia to pay condolence over the death of his mother.
